Galleria Doria Pamphili
The huge Palazzo Doria Pamphili, one of the city’s finest Rococò palaces that dates back to XV century, is still privately owned by the aristocratic Doria Pamphili family, but their stupendous art collection is open to the public.
Having a glimpse of its stunning interior decorations will provide you a lot of contentment. The galleria extends through the old apartments, with paintings displayed floor-to-ceiling amongst antique furniture, drapes and richly decorated walls. There are over 500 paintings including the works of Titian, Velázquez and Caravaggio.
