Galleria Borghese
  • Panoramic route

This art gallery is located in the former Villa Borghese Pinciana. The Galleria Borghese houses a substantial part of the Borghese collection of paintings, sculpture and antiquities.

One of the world’s great art collections, the haul that Cardinal Scipione Borghese, the nephew of Pope Paul V, assembled in the early XVII century in his Roman garden villa includes it boasts paintings by Caravaggio, Raphael, and Titian, as well as some sensational sculptures by Bernini.
The museum is divided into two parts: the ground-floor gallery, with its superb sculptures, intricate Roman floor mosaics and over-the-top frescoes, and the upstairs picture gallery.
